What is the recommended size for an awning?
Depending on your property we normally recommend that your awning is at least 500mm wider on each side than the area that you are trying to shade, with as deep as projection as possible. Popular awning sizes range from 3.0m wide x 2.5m projection to 6.0m wide x 4.0m projection, or even larger.

Where will the awning fit on your wall?
We can install your awning at virtually any point, but consider if you will be able to walk underneath and open any doors or windows when the awning is extended. We normally recommend that your awning is fitted at least 2.4m above ground level and when extended the front of the awning should be approx. 1.9m above ground level.

What if there isn't enough room for an awning?
We have years of experience installing awnings that require custom designed brackets, so that virtually any property can have a well-proportioned awning, irrespective of how low a bungalow roof is, how many pipes are in the way on the wall, or however narrow the available wall may be. Our factory trained sales staff can normally suggest a practical solution.

The home improvement trend of recent years has shown people that they can be genuinely proud of their property and most people want to make the most of what they have. Conservatories, extensions, loft conversions and garden makeovers have all had their influence on what people find important in their living environment. An awning brings all of these requirements together in one product, for a fraction of the price!

Not only will an awning let you enjoy your garden to its maximum, but it also adds value to your home. Not an unimportant argument these days! An awning can truly transform your patio in one of the most beautiful areas of your home. It will become the most stylish addition you could have made to your home.

Some of the most popular ways of using your awning are put together below.
It will keep the adjoining room cool and free from sun rays
Furnishings will be protected as a result
It will give you privacy
It will give you a great area to entertain friends and have al fresco dinners
Children will be protected from the sun while playing outside

Recently a market research has shown that people, who had an awning installed, actually use their garden a lot more. The shade and protected living space the awning provides make that even on the hottest summer days their patio is nice and comfortable. The extra living space was also highly appreciated, as well as the protection an awning could give to interior furnishings.
